From its humble beginnings as a small importer in Arcadia, CA, it grew into the #1 importer of Italian wines in California and #7 across the nation. To date, D'Aquino imports fine wines from over 19 different regions of Italy; from Sicily and Puglia in the south to Verona and Piedmont in the north. We sell over 850,00 cases per year to distributors and supermarkets across the United States, Mexico and Canada. With 25 years of experience, we are able to find the best wines at the greatest values for our customers and the consumer in general. |  Gaetano stands proudly with his new business, D'Aquino Italian Importing Co. | When Gaetano D'Aquino came to California in 1967, he had little money, limited english vocabulary and no knowledge of the layout of the city of Los Angeles. On his journies in search of work, Gaetano found himself in Hollywood one day and overheard the sounds of his native language. It was an Italian restaurant where his countrymen could be found. As the years passed, Gaetano would become the owner of his favorite Italian restaurant, which introduced him to the food industry. After about 4 years and a bakery later, Gaetano moved back to Italy to look into the prospects of importing Italian products into the United States. D'Aquino Italian Importing Co. started out as a small, family owned business back in 1978. It began with a short list of imported goods; some wines, olive oils, and of course pastas. By the late 80's, the D'Aquino family  Our comapny building as it stands today | had established a burgeoning company. The move was made from the diminutive strip mall location in Arcadia to a large wharehouse in Duarte, California. | More cases of wine filled to the rafters just waiting for a home. |  Our beautiful showroom, where many tastings and social get togethers have taken place. | |  Our warehouse, fully stocked with Italy's finest wines from its most produtive wine regions.
